Helping Those in Need
The People First Charitable Foundation was founded in late 2021 when our nation was still reeling from the COVID-19 pandemic. Those were unprecedented stressful times as individuals dealt with issues related to depression, drug, and alcohol abuse, and even suicide. There continues to be an overall outcry for increasing mental health services, which is why our volunteer committee agreed the time was right in 2022 to support mental health as an area of focus.
2022 Events, Fundraisers, Donations and Matches
In our second year of operation, we raised over $425,000, established three fundraisers, and received support for an emergency donation for Ukrainian families in crisis.
These following charities support mental health and were selected and vetted for their national reach and service delivery to a variety of audiences. In less than three months, we raised $24,500 for Hillside, Inc. (links to external site), National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) (links to external site), The TREVOR Project (links to external site), and Tunnel to Towers (links to external site).
